JooJoo has been delayed again – for good!

Fusion Garage is making a good use of it

The JooJoo (formerly known as Crunchpad) has been through a pretty bumpy ride to release till now, and it is not over just yet. The official release might be delayed again by at least one month due to some issues related to the touchscreen – as reported by Slash gear. But this delayed is known and not surprising for those who did not know it – we are actually here to report what’s going on at the backstage during this time. Apparently Fusion Garage, the creator of the JooJoo, has been putting finer touch here and there to the tablet – like a new refreshed and improved touch screen UI, as well as incorporating probably the most celebrated feature lacking in the iPad – full Flash support!

The start-up screen is much more futuristic now, with the translucent start-up bar and customizable wallpaper. The start-up bar combines both the status and address bar. Engadget  reports of an improved scrolling as well – where a two-finger scroll that works like a scroll wheel, and a single finger “pan” that works like a mouse arrow.

The keyboard has been revamped as well, with the smaller keys that are transparent except around the border, and the whole keypad can be moved around. This will help in not blocking the content below and typing at any position, respectively. The multi-touch capability is supposed to recognize more than one input, which should enable to type very fast with both hands just by sliding your fingers over the keypad. Streaming videos now can be played straight out of the browser thanks to the full Flash integration, and also with a dedicated video player that can play H.264 videos and other formats supported by many compatible codec.

The black one promised before is not coming anymore and Slash gear reports that Fusion Garage is ready to return the $499 pre-oredered sum to those who wanted only a black JooJoo. You now have the option of Champaign shade only.
