Acer develops new 16" and 18.4" notebooks

The new notebook series Aspire 8920G and 6920G by Acer are equipped with BluRay drives, Full HD displays and offer a picture ratio of 16:9.

Acer Aspire 8920G:

The Acer Aspire 8920G is equipped with a 18.4" display and its resolution is 1.920 x 1.080 pixels. It offers a picture ratio of 16:9, and this is suitable for video playback. The top-of-the-line model is equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 CPU with 2.5 GHz and 6 MB L2-cache. Furthermore, there are installed 4 GB of working memory, and a Nvidia GeForce 9650M GS graphic card as well. It is equipped with 512 MB video memory, and can use 768 MB from working memory too. There are installed two hard disks with 320 GB, and a BluRay drive. The top-of-the-line model costs € 1.899,-.

Acer Aspire 6920G:

The top-of-the-line model of the Aspire 6920G series is equipped with a full HD display as well. The installed CPU is an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor with 2.5 GHz and 6 MB L2-cache. Acer included a Nvidia GeForce 9500M GS graphic card, and 4 GB of working memory. The installed hard disk offers 320 GB of disk size, and a BluRay drive in included too. The top-of-the-line model costs about € 1.600,-.

There was no official presentation of those notebooks so far, and no word about release a day.
