Asus presented bamboo notebook

The manufacturer Asus officially introduced notebooks, whose case is partly made of bamboo.

The bamboo laptops are equipped with a 12.1-inch display and provide an Nvidia GeForce 9300M GS with 256 MB video RAM. The processors are Intel CPU’s and up to 4 GB RAM can be installed. The notebooks mass storage device is a 2.5-inch hard drive with a capacity of 320 GB.

The second bamboo notebook provides an 11.1-inch screen and is equipped with an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU with 1.33 GHz. An Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 and up to 4 GB RAM are also included.

The customer can decide between two types of mass storage devices. A common hard drive with a capacity up to 120 GB or a solid state drive with 64 GB can be installed. Both bamboo notebooks provide a DVD burner, a card reader and a 0.3 mega pixel webcam.

No word about prices so far.
