Asus introduces Notebooks with Centrino 2
Asus expands its notebook range by new laptops which offer Intels new Centrino 2 architecture. The new models are the M50VM-AK014C, M70VM-7U047C, M51VR-AP016C, M51VA-AP016C and M70VM-7S048C.
The new notebooks M50VM-AK014C and M70VM-7U047C are equipped with the new Intel Centrino 2 chipset and provide an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 processor with 2.53 GHz. The M50 offers a 15-inch display with a resolution of 1.680 x 1.050 pixels and the M70’s 17-inch screen shows content with a resolution of 1.920 x 1.200 pixels.
Both laptops get supported by a Nvidia GeForce 9600M GS graphics with 512 MB video RAM and 4 GB RAM are also built in. A BluRay ROM and is also part of the notebooks.
Furthermore, there are surround speakers, WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, Firewire and a HDMI port included. The hard disk of the M50 offers a maximum disk size of 320 GB and the M70 can be equipped with two of them.
The other models M51VR-AP016C, M51VA-AP016C and M70VM-7S048C are very similar to the introduced notebooks, but they provide less powerful CPU’s and no HD displays.
The Asus laptops will be available in August. The top-of-the-line laptops M70VM-7U047C and M50VM-AK014C cost € 1.800 and € 1.400. The other notebooks are cheaper and they const between € 1.000 and € 1.300.
