Eurocom introduces its new D90xC PHANTOM-X (which is based on the well known D901C barebone from Clevo). It can be configured in build-to-order mode to customize the laptop.

The notebooks display measures 17" and it shows content with a resolution of 1.920 x 1.200 pixels. The installed processor is an Intel Desktop CPU and the most powerful option is an Intel Xeon Quad Core X3360 processor with 2.83 GHz (interestingly only Eurocom supports this CPU with the Clevo Barebone). It is possible to choose from many different graphic cards, including two Nvidia GeForce 8800M GTX SLI.

Up to 3 hard disks each with 320 GB and 4 GB RAM are possible. A BluRay drivecan be installed as well and WLAN 802.11n is possible too.

If you choose the most powerful hardware components of the D90xC PHANTOM-X, then its price nearly reaches € 10.000.

Our experience with the Clevo barebone showed us that the heavy noteook is usually getting very loud under load (because of the performance components) and will only last about one hour on battery (with reduced performance). All in all, not a mobile notebook, but a powerful desktop replacement.
