With Android’s support and their own media-software, BenQ’s tablet can expect some good news approaching their way
When it comes to BenQ, we mainly think of digital projectors and computer desktops but they deal with various other consumer electronics ranging from optical discs to all-in-one PCs and further to televisions as well. The Taiwanese giant is now trying their best to fit in the already very complicated and tough tablet industry. In the midst of launches by various other companies, BenQ has launched their own tablet christened as BenQ nReader R100.
The tablet has a 10.1-inch screen with 1024 × 600 pixels of resistive touchscreen display and an additional HDMI output. BenQ is also claiming that the battery which they are providing is going to stay alive for up to as many as 12 hours. The tablet is armed with a 667MHz Samsung ARM based processor with Google’s Android 2.2 supporting the gadget. Other necessary add-ons are Wi-Fi and 3G. It is however still not clear whether they are going to ship Google Translate with Android 2.2 or only with an earlier version of the Operating System.
As per reports, BenQ will provide their own multi-media software support for eBook reading, playing movies and last but not the least, games.
