It was February 2009, when we first heard about gScreen’s plan to launch a notebook that has two screens instead of just one. gScreen is an Alaska based company started by Gordon Stewart. Off course at that time people had their skepticism about such a device but, it seems as if gScreen is actually going to launch such laptops which have two screens. One screen hides behind the other and users can easily slide out the second screen as and when required. This means that users have the choice to use one screen or two screens. The rumored specifications of this model are as follows:

·         Powered by an Intel Core2 Duo processor

·         4GB RAM

·         Nvidia GeForce 900M GT graphics processor

·         7,200rpm hard disk drive

·         Two 15.4-inch displays

Such a notebook will off course be expensive and people are speculating that the price tag of this model can be above of $3000. gScreen is also planning to launch another dual screen notebook which has two 13-inch screens. Gordon plans to have the first Spacebooks (as they are called) being sold through Amazon.com by December this year. Currently they are making tweaks to the power source and to the screen slider.
