Intel-Certified DDR3 XMP SO-DIMMS for Notebooks
For all you Notebook Gamers, this memory module by Kingston offers you unrivaled performance.
Kingston Technology Company, Inc. the world’s largest independent manufacturer of memory products recently launched its first XMP-ready HyperX DDR3 SO-DIMMs for notebooks. XMP or Extreme Memory Profile is a technology developed by Intel to simplify overclocking by providing presets (like low latency or high frequency) which automatically defines the timings, frequency and voltage for the end user.
This technology was only available to desktop users but now it will also be available to Notebook users. The only criterion is that the notebook must understand the XMP SPD settings. A few weeks ago OCZ also announced the launch of their version of the DDR3 SO-DIMMS with XMP certification. Kingston offers CL5 rating whereas OCZ offers CL6 rating RAM, making the former far better in terms of lower latency, which offers better gaming performance.
Moreover, it comes with a lifetime warranty and free 24 x 7 technical support.
