Are You ready to put on Your 3D glasses?
The soon-to-be released Acer Aspire 5738DG is equipped with what Acer is calling “TriDef” 3D display. This new product is the first commercial notebook to come with a screen of this kind. Claimed to be a desktop replacement laptop, it comes with 3D polarized glasses.
Another Gemstone series notebook, the Aspire 5738DG has a 15,6-inch widescreen. For optimal 3D viewing it houses a 1,366-by-768 resolution display. Reportedly, the DDD TriDef technology behind this laptop is the one that turns the 2D experience into 3D fun. Moreover, the glasses which, in fact, are included in the box, are claimed to be “sporty and stylish”. Apparently, the screen could be used without spectacles, providing the same good quality visual environment as one without a built-in 3D display.
Allegedly, the Acer Aspire 5738DG is a budget notebook which should be available for around $700. Here is a brief list of specs:
• 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 DUO
• 4GB of RAM
• Up to 500GB SATA hard drive, 5400 RPM
• TriDef 3D screen
• True 5.1 –channel surround sound output
• HDMI
• Numeric keypad
• Windows 7
