MSI: the company unveiled the new CX413 multimedia laptop

MSI has introduced the latest addition to its Classic series of notebooks.

The Taiwanese computer maker MSI has recently launched a new member of the C line-up named CX413. It comes with an AMD processor, an ATI graphics card, DDR3 system memory, a high definition screen, a web camera, long battery life and other features. In addition, the device is powered by a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 OS.

Configuration

The new CX413 is reportedly equipped with an AMD Athlon II Dual-Core P320 central processing unit which is clocked at 2.1GHz and has 1MB of L2 cache. Furthermore, the processor is ranked 119 on our CPU Benchmark list.

According to the product’s web page, consumers can choose between 250GB, 320GB and 500GB of rotating SATA hard drive (HDD). In addition, this laptop can reportedly house up to 8GB of 1066MHz DDR3 system memory.

As for the video card, the CX413 apparently sports an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics controller which has 512MB of memory, provides full support for DirectX 11 and is ranked 110 on our GPU Benchmark list. In addition, this video card powers the high definition wide screen which is 14 inches in diagonal and comes with LED backlighting.

Connectivity

Consumers can supposedly stay connected to the Internet with the help of an 802.11 b/g/n WLAN and a Gigabit LAN adapters added to this laptop. Users can also exchange and transfer data to other devices thanks to a Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR module, a 4-in-1 card reader and three USB 2.0 ports. Other ports include an HDMI interface (for watching HD videos on an external TV) and a VGA port (for watching videos on an external monitor).

Video conferencing is also possible thanks to a 1.3MP web camera and stereo speakers which support HD audio.

Other specs, pricing and availability

This notebook features a 6-cell battery which reportedly has a long runtime. Furthermore, the CX413 is quite light even including the battery – only 2kg (or about 4.41lbs). Moreover, this portable PC ships with a pre-installed copy of Windows 7 Home Premium OS.

However, there is no information about availability and pricing of the new MSI CX 413.
