Remember Cherrypal Bing? It was the first netbook from the Mountain-view company and a decently configured one for a pretty low price (they were giving out a desktop and the Bing together for $399!). Now they unveiled couple of more notebooks – actually one of them is a netbook called Cherrypal Africa, sporting a 7” display panel and a 400MHz processor. With this configuration it won’t go nowhere as far as multimedia is concerned, but if you want something you can carry like an overgrown purse which can let you connect to the internet and does basic document processing – Africa is the thing. It comes with Windows CE by the way.

The second one is a 13.3” notebook – called Bing, the same as the old Bing. It is powered by a 1.6GHz processor with 1GB DD2 RAM, 160GB hard disk and sports a 13.3” TFT display with 1024 x 600 pixels of resolution. It comes 3 with USB 2.0 ports, along with a set of earphones and SD/MMC/MS card socket. Cherrypal also throws in a 1.3 MP integrated web camera, and WiFi (IEEE 802.11 b/g). It should run for 5 hours in one charging – as promised by the company.
