Samsung intros 14.1-inch X460

More in the thin-and-light segment from Samsung. First was the 13.3-inch X360, now it is the X460. It is slightly larger – has a 14.1-inch 1280x800 LCD screen, 45 nm Intel Centrino 2 CPU, up to 4GB RAM, either 250GB or 320GB hard drive, NVIDIA‘s GeForce 9200M GS graphics chipset with DirectX 10 support, slim Light Scribe optical drive, five USB ports, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and integrated multi-card reader for quick file transfers, Wi-Fi and Ethernet, 1.3-megapixel webcam for video conferencing, fingerprint scanner for security, eSATA, DVI, SIO and HDMI ports and an antibacterial keyboard for minimizing the build-up of bacteria.

It weighs 4.1 pounds (6-cell battery, 9-cell optional) and is just 1.2-inches thick.

The X460 will be available in October in certain European and Asian countries. Pricing start at £999.
