Toshiba presents Satellite X205-SLi5 and X205-SLi6

The notebooks X205-SLi5 and X205-SLi6 by Toshiba are equipped with Intel processors and 3 GB RAM. Actually, the X205-SLi6 provides a HDTV-Tuner.

Toshiba Satellite X205

The notebook models X205-SLi5 and X205-SLi6 by Toshiba are equipped with a 17” display. The X205-SLi5’s display has a resolution of 1.440 x 900 pixels, and gets supported by two Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT SLI graphics with 512 MB VRAM. The installed processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo T8300 CPU with 2.4 GHz, and 3 GB RAM is included too. If needed, then RAM can be upgraded up to 4 GB.

Two 160 GB hard disks are used as mass storage device, and provide an overall disk space of 320 GB. A DL DVD-RW drive and Harman Kardon speakers with subwoofer are installed as well.

WLAN (802.11a/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.0 with EDR are included for enabling wireless communication. Furthermore, a 1.3 mega pixel webcam, and a finger print reader are installed too.

The X205-SLi6 provides an Intel CPU as well, but this notebook is equipped with the more powerful T9300 CPU with 2.5 GHz. The notebooks mass storage device consists of two 200 GB hard disks, and the 17” display has a resolution of 1.680 x 1.050 pixels. The equipment of the X205-SLi6 is similar to the X205-SLi5 ones, besides a HDTV tuner. The X205-SLi5 costs $ 1.999, the X205-SLi6 costs $ 2.499, and they are already available in the USA.
