Dell has updated its XPS Studio 16 laptop by adding a new ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670 dedicated graphics card. The earlier version of this laptop had 512MB ATI Mobility Radeion HD3670 GPU whose performance is similar to Nvidia’s GeForce 9600M GS. Now, Dell has added a 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670 GPU to the XPS Studio 16 model. This new GPU is a square between Nvidia’s GeForce 9700M GTS and GeForce 8800M GTS.

The Dell XPS Studio 16 runs on an Intel Core2 Duo processor and supports a maximum of 8GB DDR3 RAM. The display can be either a standard 16-inch 1,366 x 768 HD-capable display or a LCD WLED TrueLife 16-inch full HD display with resolution 1920 × 1080 (WUXGA). Other features of this device include:

The base price of this model with a 2GHz Intel Dual Core processor, 4GB RAM, ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670 GPU, and 1080p display is $799. In France one can get the base model with 2.1GHz Intel Core2 Duo processor, 2GB RAM, 320GB SATA hard disk, ATI Mobility Radeon HD4670 GPU, and a 1080p display is 800 euros.
