Toshiba: Toshiba Folio 100 Android tablet specs leaked

Toshiba’s new tablet to come packed with 3G capabilities

Toshiba is known to have been working on an Android tablet for some time now, although no indication of what the tablet will be like has been known. And now, reports have started to circulate about the supposed specs of the named device.

If reports are to be believed, the Toshiba Folio 100 tablet PC will have a 10.1 inch, 1024 x 600 pixel multitouch display driven by an NVIDIA Tegra 2 chip. Additionally, it has been known that the tablet will have 16GB of internal storage space and support for SDHC cards up to 32GB for additional storage. The tablet will have 3G capabilities as well as 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth for connectivity. It will run Google Android 2.2 as its OS and will have a battery that is capable of providing 7 hours of backup. Moreover, the Folio 100 will come pre-installed with Opera Mobile web browser with Adobe Flash support and other necessary utilities including a PDF reader, eBook app, and RSS news reader. Although the inclusion of the Android Market app is yet unknown, the Toshiba Market app will surely be available for downloading some third party apps on the tablet, looking at the previous Android-based Toshiba models.

The Toshiba Folio 100 tablet will measure 11.1-inch x 7.1-inch x 0.6-inch and will weigh 1.7 pounds. An optional docking station is also reported to be available for those wanting one. Toshiba’s products have always screamed quality and now with the advent of this tablet people will surely want to own one.
