If Samsung can not manage to raise its share in the notebook market, then they will possibly retreat from that sector.
Samsung advertised that they possibly will retreat from the notebook market. If the sales figures of notebooks won’t rise within three years and triple, then this could happen.
Actually the market figures of Samsung are 1.7 percent and 5.7 percent are necessary to survive in the laptop market. This progression shall be reached by the new opened up US market and the distribution of notebooks in a new European country.
Update: Samsung just informed us, that they won't retreat from the notebook market and that this rumor stems from some kind of missunderstanding.
