Fujitsu’s latest offering is a feature-packed computer in a surprisingly small form-factor
Fujitsu’s latest addition to its LifeBook range of portable PCs is the LifeBook T580 Tablet PC. With the IFA fever still around, Fujitsu is just one of those manufacturers who are outing new models one after the other. The LifeBook T580, although being a tablet PC, has features that are no less than a notebook.
The latest portable from Fujitsu has a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with a full touchscreen and comes shipped with Microsoft Windows 7 as the default OS. Although, the standout feature of the said display is its ability to recognize input from up to 4 fingers simultaneously which includes operations such as scrolling, double tapping, rotating, magnifying, along with 14 different gestures. When using a stylus, the tablet PC makes use of a Dual Digitizer, which also helps Windows 7 to recognize handwriting in 26 different languages. Additionally, an Ambient Light Sensor adjusts the intensity of the LED backlighting and helps visibility even in direct sunlight. The tablet PC has a handful of options when it comes to the CPU and you can power your LifeBook T580 by up to Intel Core i5 processors. A biometric fingerprint sensor and the Fujitsu's own Advanced Theft Protection technology come as standard security features on the portable device.
Fujitsu’s latest offering looks promising for sure and the small form-factor combined with powerful features makes it a good buy. Although, its value for money quotient will be decided once its price is quoted by the company. Reportedly, shipping will not initiate until late November.
