Samsung tightens a nut and develops a 500 GB hard disk for notebooks.
Samsung Spinpoint
Hitachi presented its 500 GB hard disk 5K500 for notebooks last week. The problem is that the hard disk’s measurements are too thick by 3mm for fitting into a standard laptop hard disk slot. Now Samsung presented its 500 GB disk Spinpoint M6, which has a thickness of 9,5 mm. Therefore, it fits into a standard notebook hard disk slot and every laptop should be able to carry one or two of them.
