Intel won’t bring a new Atom CPU

The manufacturer Intel won’t bring a new Atom processor until the 3rd quarter of 2009.
The internet news site Fudzilla reports, that Intel isn’t developing new Atom processors. The current single-core and dual-core version won’t get enforced by new models until the 3rd quarter of 2009.
It is not known if Intel will develop more powerful Atom processors in the 4th quarter of 2009. Additionally, Fudzilla reports that Intel does not want the manufacturers to sell their dual-core Atom CPU in this year, because Intel won’t get its own competitor. Next year they are allowed to offer netbooks with the new processor.
