Sony VAIO TX: ultraportable Business Laptops

Sony offers the VAIO TX Series at the laptop business market and the choice of three colours.The light-weight subnotebook is 1.3 kg light.

Finished in a carbon fibre laminate, the TX-Series provide greater strength than the magnesium-alloy designs commonly seen in laptops. Ideal for protection in transit, the laminate ensures a light weight.

Innovation is to the fore with the use of LED technology to illuminate the panel. It is the first laptop screen to use the technology. The screen is as small as 11.1 inches and mere 4mm thick. Graphics are sourced from an integrated Intel 915GMS GPU.
To allow high-performance from the small chassis, Intel’s ultra-low voltage processors are used. Keeping heat low, three models in the range opt for the 1.2GHz ULV Pentium M 753 along with 512MB-1GB of DDR2 memory and a 60GB (4200rpm) hard drive.
Available now, the VAIO TX1 costs £1799 (inc. VAT).
