The new president and COO of OLPC comes from their own stuff. The former CFP Charles Kane was promoted to the chairman of this organisation.

The challenge of the organisation One Laptop Per Child is developing a low-cost notebook for developing countries. Those notebooks are for the area of education, and should boost education in those countries.
The organisation searched a long time for a new president and COO, and the manager Negroponte wanted someone like Kofi Annan. They decided to promote the former CFO Charles Kane to become president and COO of OLPC. Negroponte addresses himself to fundraising and the new president Kane is responsible for production and distribution of notebooks.
