Just solder with the second slot and get ready to use

Now a Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator can be added to your netbook. Well it’s neither easy nor so straight forward. For this you will need a free, unlocked, full sized PCI-e slot but that is not common on all netbooks. Usually all the netbooks have only one slot which is taken up by a Wi-Fi card. But there are some netbooks which have unused PCI-e slots hanging out on the mother boards and so is the case with Samsung NC10.

Graemem, a member of the Sammy netbook forum figured out how to install the Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator. As we know, the Broadcom Crystal HD accelerator is a good option for adding 1080p playback for a netbook. So Graemem didn’t want to give up internal Wi-Fi for 1080p playback with his Broadcom. And he found out a second mini PCI-e slot on his Samsung NC10 motherboard, there was no source leading to the slot and so he sourced one by soldering it. Now he has both the things working simultaneously. So all you got to do is find a second slot which is free and solder it.

You can go through the step by step instructions and a handful of photos at SammyNetbook to avoid wrong results.
