Dell calls its new mini notebook Dell E and the manufacturer offers three different version of this laptop. There is the Dell E classic, the Dell E video and the Dell E video+.

Acer developed its Aspire One and MSI designed its Wind laptop. Now Dell presented its new mini laptop and they want it to be as successful as Asus Eee PC. Everyone thought that the new model will be called Inspiron mini, but its name is Dell E.

The Dell E is equipped with a 8.9-inch display, like its competitors are as well. It offers Intels new Atom CPU with 1.6 GHz.

There are three different version of the notebook, which differ in their equipment. The classic version offers 512 MB RAM and a 4 GB flash hard drive. The Video version is equipped with 1 GB RAM, an 8 GB flash hard disk and a Webcam and the video+ version offers a 12 GB flash HDD.

The notebooks are shipped with Windows XP and Linux. Additionally, there is the E slim version which offers a 12.1-inch display and is only 2.03 cm thick. It will be similar to the MacBook Air and the Lenovo X300. The Dell E should be available in August.
