Asus has given a glimpse of their latest gaming notebook called the G51 which will compete with Alienware’s gaming notebooks. The G51 is set to be showcased during Computex fair, which will be held in the first week of June. It has a 15.6-inch 16:9 aspect ratio LED backlit display and a robot like design which looks good considering the fact that it is a gaming laptop.

Gamers can choose between two power packed processors i.e. a 2GHz or 2.26GHz Core 2 Quad processor or a standard 2GHz or 3.06GHz Core 2 Duo processor. This coupled with 4GB of DDR2 RAM and nVidia’s 1GB GeForce GTX 260M graphics card will surely make the gamers very happy by providing realistic, rich and accelerated graphics. Moreover, the Creative EAX-CMSS sound card delivers exceptional 3D surround sound audio. It will provide ample space for storing games, audio and video content by the use of up to 1TB of hard disk drive.

Another good feature on the G51 that the gamers will love is a backlit keyboard and an option to over clock the CPU for better gaming performance. It also has a 2MP webcam. Although Asus has not officialy announced the pricing and release dates but the G51 is expected to retail at around $1,300-$1,500 and is expected to be available in July.
