HP Mini 5102 now has the N470 edge

The netbook comes with the latest Pinetrail as an option

The HP Mini 5102 was the most awaited successor to the hugely popular Mini 5101, and HP hasnot left any stone unturned to make it most accessible – from giving it at a competitive price point ($399) to making the maximum configuration options for the end-user. On that same line, the Mini 5102 has been made available with the latest Pineview Atom N470 processor. This one has a clocking speed of 1.83GHz and built according to the Pinetrail architecture, putting both the CPU and GPU inside the same die. This, as we have seen in the case of the N450, although doesnot enhance power much, but makes the device more energy efficient.

The N470 was promised back in CES 2010 by HP – as reported by Netbooked. This upgrade will cost you an additional $25 only. There are also interesting options available on the HP site including a Broadcom HD card, matte 1366 x 768 display, multi-touch display, SSD, carry handle etc. but this configuration is available only from $518, so think twice. There is a coupon code that HPprovides which will give you 12% off - CTO5102. It should be still working.
