Neofonie: Sept 21 is the selling date set for Neofonie WeTab tablet

Two models on offer by Neofonie on this expected selling date


The Neofonie WeTab has an 11.6-inch capacitive touchscreen with a customized version of MeeGo Linux. The system sports Intel Atom N450 CPU, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth as well.

Germany is chosen the only country where the WeTab will be made available at launch. But there are confirmed reports that in-spite of their launch at Germany; the company will start taking orders from September 21st.

There are two models to watch out for: The Wi-Fi only model with 16GB of storage memory has a sticker price of €449, but the WeTab 3G featuring 3G, GPS, HDMI output and 32GB of storage memory will cost buyers €569.

Neofonie officials said that the tablet boots in about 16 seconds and takes only one second to get started from sleep; MeeGo is the technology behind the mentioned performance.
