Now it can be a good time for the new slate PC’s

It was at CeBIT in Germany that jkkmobile found two good looking tablets from DPT. Both the models from DPT have 7 inch display, but one runs  on Windows 7 with 1024 x 600 pixel display while the other is a Windows XP tablet with a lower resolution 800 x 480 pixel display.

The one with Windows 7 is built with the following features:

Display: a multitouch 7-inch display
Storage Capacity: 8GB to 16GB
CPU: Atom Z5xx series processor
RAM: 1GB
WiFi: 802.11b/g

It also comes with an HDMI output as well as SIM card slot and an optional 3G module.

Well, from the past few months there are have been plenty of tablets coming up on Windows XP and Windows 7 but these tablets have not caught the market as expected. The ideas to bring these slate PC’s have been around for years, and they are being sold in the market from a good time but they have only been popular between some enthusiasts, who are different from the general public. Now if the Apple iPad takes off then will be the time for tablets running Google Android or Windows CE which are reasonable with money than those tablets which run the desktop operating system handling the controls through only keyboard and mouse.
