Xiaomi is now sending out new updates to the Mi 10 and Redmi Note 9. The update for the Mi 10 is a MIUI 12 build, while the Redmi Note 9's OTA is based on MIUI 11. This comes after confirmation that Xiaomi is now opening up the pilot program for global beta MIUI 12 testing on the Mi 10 phones in India.

While Xiaomi continues with the MIUI 12 rollout, it's also been sending out regular updates to its phones. Two such updates have arrived for the company's flagship Mi 10, and the recently released mid-range Redmi Note 9.

For the Mi 10, the update serves as the June security patch. The Mi 10 has since been upgraded to MIUI 12 in most regions, so it's no surprise that this is a MIUI 12-based build. The update comes with the build number "V12.0.4.0.QJBCNXM". That designation reveals that it's an update for the Chinese model of the phone. The update weighs 524 MB.

An update is also rolling out to the Redmi Note 9. The changelog for the update is listed as improving system stability and reducing system lag. The update carries the build number "V11.0.3.0.QJORUXM". It is, of course, a MIUI 11 update, as the Redmi Note 9 is yet to receive MIUI 12. It's also an update for the Russian model of the Redmi Note 9, and weighs in at 311 MB.
