Keyboard case adds QWERTY keyboard and 360˚ rotating hinge to iPad 2

ASUS’s Transformer tablet has shown us some of the benefits of having a detachable keyboard, and now the newest offering from ClamCase will transform your iPad 2 as well. The company has announced the 2^nd version of their iPad shell after redesigning it to better fit the slimmer iPad 2.

The new ClamCase comes with a full Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard and acts as a stand and protective case as well. In addition, the ClamCase features cutouts for the tablet’s camera and speaker and comes with a rotatable hinge that allows 360˚ turning of the tablet. Also included in the case are 14 unique special function keys; controlling volume, media playback, power and other functions.

For those out there happy with their iPad 2, but wishing it was a bit more Transformer-like, then the second-generation ClamCase could be the solution. The case is currently only available in a Matte Black color; however, a Matte White and a Star Wars-themed “The Trooper” model should be available in the future.

The new ClamCase can currently be purchased for $149 from the company’s website, but currently takes 4-5 weeks to ship.
