New Asus ZenFone 5 Lite images and details leak online
The upcoming Asus ZenFone 5 surfaced online thanks to WinFuture last week, but the images showing that handset were black and white sketches from a user manual. Now, the Lite edition was unveiled by Evan Blass in what seem to be official photos. Fortunately, he also shared a few technical specs, although there is still a lot to be uncovered.
The ZenFone 5 that we spotted last week had the vertical dual camera setup placed in a corner, as well as a display notch that made it look a lot like the Apple iPhone X. Fortunately, the ZenFone 5 Lite looks more down to Earth, although there is nothing special to say about its design.
Leaked by Evan Blass in three colors he calls Midnight Black, Rouge Red, and Moonlight White, the ZenFone 5 Lite is supposed to feature a 20 MP + 20 MP setup for selfies and two 16 MP cameras on the back, as well as a full HD+ display with a ratio of 18:9. If the ZenFone 5 ends up launching with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 as rumored, we expect the Lite version to get the same processor.
The chipset or the Android version that will power this handset have not been mentioned anywhere yet, so we should wait for the next round of leaks. However, the new Asus phones are expected to arrive at MWC 2018, so the official launch is not that far, either.
