Details of a Redmi K30S smartphone have started springing up online, but it appears the brief mystery surrounding the device has been solved with a prosaic answer. It’s likely the upcoming Snapdragon 865-powered Redmi K30S is simply a rebadged Xiaomi Mi 10T for the Chinese market.
Update: An appearance on TENAA confirms the Redmi K30S is a rebranded Mi 10T.

Update October 16: The Redmi K30S has appeared on TENAA listings where it is confirmed to be a rebadged Xiaomi Mi 10T. Images with the "Redmi" logo are attached below.

Original story:

Some mystery was just starting to build up around the Redmi K30S, which was revealed by noted tech tipster Digital Chat Station. Likely to be one of the final devices in the expansive Redmi K30 line, the Redmi K30S seemingly sprang up from nowhere and could even see the light of day by the second week of November. But a related leak on the Chinese social media site Weibo has apparently removed the mystery of the K30S by revealing its likely status as a rebranded Xiaomi Mi 10T.

There’s no surprise in Xiaomi bringing its Mi 10T series to its domestic market under a different name. An image of the Xiaomi Mi 10T was shared on Weibo with the label "Redmi K30S"; the post was quickly removed but the hint is there. If this turns out to be the truth, then shoppers in China can expect to be greeted by a premium Redmi K30S with a high-end SD 865 processor, 144 Hz display with AdaptiveSync technology for providing different refresh rates depending on the content, 5,000-mAh battery, LPDDR5 RAM, and UFS 3.1 storage.

It’s not entirely clear if the Redmi K30S will be a rebadged Xiaomi Mi 10T or Mi 10T Pro, and there are only a few differences between the two Xiaomi-branded smartphones. The main difference is the large 108 MP camera sensor and OIS in the Mi 10T Pro, while the Mi 10T has to settle for a 64 MP camera and no OIS technology. Of course, this gives Xiaomi room to release two “new” devices, so it seems more than possible that the Redmi K30S will have the Mi 10T’s specs while the already reported Redmi K30T will be a rebadged Mi 10T Pro.
