Teaser
Archos Arnova 8 G2 tablet still a mystery as nothing is displayed about this tab on their official website

Two new Android tablets were recently introduced by Archos for its Arnova line of tablets. The models are Arnova 7 G2 which has a 7inch display and the Arnova 10 G2 which has a 10inch screen. Though till now only these two models are introduced but some expect that one 8inch model may be on the market too, but it is still a rumor.

Until now nothing is mentioned about this Arnova 8 G2 tablet in the Arnova website, but J&R has a product page this tablet which even says the price of the device to be $199.99. This model has also been passed by the FCC a few months back as showing up at the FCC website.

According to J&R this 8inch model will be powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS and will be having a 1GHz CPU. The 8inch display is also capable of providing a resolution up to 800 x 600pixels. Archos has even said to have provided 4GB storage and even a micro SD card slot for storage. Some other features listed with the device by J&R are Wi-Fi, Flash Compatibility, Multi format videos and audio playback. As it is an Android device, it can download a lot other applications as you please.

The third party application store might be shipped with this device which mostly common for the Arnova tablets released. This Application Store is called as Appslib, which mainly acts as the application store instead of Android market.
