Motorola to sell Moto X for $299 during one-hour promotion

While flash sales have their fans and uses, they're not usually associated with big name companies and products. That isn't standing in the way of Motorola however, as the company has scheduled a one-hour sale for the 27th of January.

According to tweets sent out by the Motorola Mobility Twitter account, all Moto X's will receive a special $100 discount on the 27th of January from 3-4PM ET. This applies to all off-contract makes and models, including the 32GB and Developer Edition versions, bringing the lowest possible price to just $299. 

The company first brought down prices at the beginning of this month, when they listed the device at $399, and they're now offering it at close to 50% of its original $579 tag. In addition, users who miss out on the special promotion can still purchase any device for $70 off till February 14th, a special Valentine's Day gift from Motorola.
