What are the most anticipated video games for the holiday season 2016? Nielsen Game Rank has the answer. The most sought after games on the multi-player platform between October and December 2016 are First-Person Shooters (FPS). EA is returning to its military warfare roots with Battlefield 1 at 96%. Activision's call to arms with this year's Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare reaches a 96% anticipation level in gamers' wish list for the holiday season.

Right behind these two blockbuster games Square Enix's Final Fantasy XV comes in at 95% as the next mainline title in its epic role-playing game (RPG) series. Despite British unionists have called for Mafia 3 to be banned for "glorifying" IRA bombing and the presence of some serious bugs 2K's Mafia III gets 83%.

According to Nielsen many gamers are looking forward to revisiting the earlier adventures on "8th Gen" consoles with Batman: Return to Arkham (83%). Rounding out the highly anticipated multi-platform titles are Capcom's Dead Rising 4 (79%), EA's Titanfall 2 (77%), and Ubisoft's Watch Dogs 2 (75%).
