Microsoft could preview Tablet OS as soon next week

Teaser
Windows tablet build could be debuted by Microsoft at next week’s tech conferences

Almost everybody wants to be a player in the tablet game, but surprisingly Microsoft has been missing from the arena so far. Although previous rumblings indicated that a version of Windows primed for tablets wouldn’t be showing up till 2012, we could end up catching a glimpse of the OS sooner than later.

According to a Bloomberg report, three sources with knowledge of Microsoft’s plans are indicating that the folks over at Redmond are planning on demonstrating their tablet OS next week. The previews could be taking place at a couple conferences later this month, as Windows President Steven Sinofsky and Vice President Steve Guggenheimer will be on hand at the All Things D and Computex conferences respectively.

As of now it is still unknown whether the tablet OS will be a variant of the yet announced Windows 8; however, that should be cleared up soon enough. Furthermore, the report indicates that the preview will be occurring on a couple of NVIDIA powered tablets, and a partnership with Microsoft could be a big boon for Tegra fans out there.
