Reviews for the Microsoft Lumia 550
Windows 10 onboard. Microsoft sees its affordable (and with Windows 10) Lumia 550 positioned in the low-cost sector of around 100 Euros (~$109). However, the smartphone does not really stand out, and the operating system doesn't run smoothly, either.

Windows 10 certainly has plenty of potential on mobile devices, but Microsoft still has some work on its hands to iron out all of the little bugs and make it a true competitor to iOS and Android. And the Lumia 550, while certainly affordable, is not the way to truly appreciate the good points of Windows 10 - especially as some of the more intriguing features such as Continuum are missing in action.

With the Lumia 550, Microsoft is clearly attempting to pull off the same trick, clearly having put more thought into its lineup than simply releasing more variants of the divisive Lumia 530. Windows 10 Mobile needs a saviour to bring Microsoft's mobile ambitions back from the brink. Unfortunately, the Lumia 550 is not the device to do it.

Microsoft smartphones and tablets have been tested since 2012. There are many reviews with average ratings. The reader's interest is quite given, but the market share is not big enough for the Top 5 smartphone manufacturers (as of 2016).
68.28%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
