The Medion Akoya E7212, on sale on Sunday 24 January from Aldi shops around the country, is a large notebook computer that’s ideally suited to being a replacement for a desktop PC. That is to say, it’s not particularly portable given its size and weight, so it’s best off left in one place in the home, where it’s going to be more practical than a larger desktop computer, particularly if space is already tight. Not great for taxing tasks but better for watching films and browsing the net.

The Medion Akoya E7212, on sale on Sunday 24 January from Aldi shops around the country, is a large notebook computer that’s ideally suited to being a replacement for a desktop PC. In all, the E7212 is a good computer with a large screen that’s great as a budget family machine. These Aldi deals tend to sell out quickly, though, so if you’re interested it’s worth making arrangements to get to your local store and take a look at the product as soon as you can.

Medion's Akoya E7212 represents great value for anyone who wants a well performing notebook for the home. It's inexpensive and it performs better than many pricier notebooks on the market. It also has a very good set of features. The Akoya E7212 would suit a family looking for a desktop replacement notebook, or a student who wants something zippy and comfortable to work on but doesn't want a PC and can't afford to spend too much. It's available from Aldi while stocks last.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Onboard (shared Memory) GPU built in the GM45, GE45 and GS45 chipset (Montevina). Because of two more shaders and a higher core clock, much faster than the old GMA X3100. Still not advisable for gamers (DirectX 10 games not playable or only with very low settings). The integrated video processor is able to help decode HD videos (AVC/VC-2/MPEG2) , e.g., for a fluent Blu-Ray playback with slow CPUs.
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

Intel Pentium Dual Core: The return of the name Pentium, though it is a Yonah core. In fact, it is a double Core processor with a very good relation of performance to current consumption.
T4500:
Entry to middle class dual core CPU with 1 MB level 2 cache and no virtualization technology. Compared to the Core 2 Duo line, some power saving mechanism are deactivated.

17.3": Meanwhile the 17 inch display size is a more frequently offered standard format for desktop-replacements. The DTR-laptops can't be carried easily, need much energy but on the other side texts can be read easily and high resolutions are no problem. DTR mainly are intended for stationary usage on desks, where the weight and the energy need are unimportant.

3.2 kg: This weight is average for notebooks. Therefore the numerous mass of laptops with 15 inch display fits in this class of weight.
Medion: Medion AG is a German consumer electronics company. It operates in Europe, the United States, and the Asia-Pacific region. The main products are computers, TVs, refrigerators, toasters, and fitness equipment. The manufacturer of laptops Medion mainly is active in the German market, but to smaller extent also in Western Europe. Market shares and amount of reviews are low. Above all, supermarkets like Aldi sell their laptops.
82.25%: This rating should be considered to be average. This is because the proportion of notebooks which have a higher rating is approximately equal to the proportion which have a lower rating.
