Teaser
The 17.3-inch desktop replacement coming this June 2nd starting at $2659 with Nvidia 3D Vision and shutter glasses right out of the box

Advertised as “the most powerful 17-inch 3D enabled notebook available,” you can bet that the eX-L 17 3D from Maingear is going to pack enough heat to rival even top of the line desktops.

The new Maingear notebook, as the name suggests, will be 3D enabled with the Nvidia 3D Vision software and will even include a pair of shutter glasses as standard. To power the 3D experience, the ex-L 17 can house a Core i7-2920XM CPU overclockable up to 4.8GHz and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 485M discrete graphics card. Other hardware features include 2 hard drive bays for HDDs or SSDs, an 8-cell battery, fingerprint biometrics security, FullHD resolution, 2x USB 3.0, and a 2MP webcam. A concise spec list can be seen in the full press release below. When fully configured, the eX-L 17 is going to weigh at least 8.6 lbs (3.9kg).

We are constantly pushing the boundaries and leading the way in luxury computing and the eX-L 17 3D is a testament to that commitment,” said CEO and Founder of Maingear Wallace Santos.

The base eX-L 17 3D is starting at $2659 (€1858) and is expected to begin shipping June 2nd. A 1-year standard warranty is also included, as well as a “zero bloat ware” experience. Check out the Maingear notebook here.
