MSI upgrades GT70 and GT60 notebooks with GTX680M graphics

MSI G Series gaming notebooks now come with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX680M GPU

In a press release today, MSI announced that their G Series of gaming laptops have been updated to include NVIDIA's latest graphics. The GeForce GTX680M had been previously benchmarked on MSI's laptops at Computex, but it has now been officially made available to the public.

Starting from today, the 17.3" GT70 and the 15.6" GT60 can be customized purchased with a GTX680M and 4GB of VRAM, to go along with a full HD 1920x1080 pixel resolution. The duo of gaming notebooks come with a Core i7-3610QM CPU, USB 3.0, a SteelSeries programmable keyboard and THX sound. The GT70 can also be equipped with up to 16GB of RAM and 3 storage drives while the GT60 makes do with 12GB of RAM and a 750GB HDD. 

Coming in at upwards of 7.5 pounds, both notebooks can currently be purchased from retailers such as Amazon or NewEgg, with the GT70 selling for $2,599 and the GT60 going for $1,899.
