Thanks to the CPU upgrade, users should expect an increase in processing, multi-tasking and gaming performance, as well as battery life.

MSI officially announced that its gaming laptops will now be available with newest Intel Broadwell processors.

As much as 18 MSI laptop models will be equipped with 5th generation Intel Core i7 CPU. No information on the specific processor model has been given, but it will most likely be the quad-core Core i7-5700HQ.

The MSI machines to receive the upgrade include: GT80 Titan SLI, GT72 Dominator, GS70 Stealth, GS60 Ghost, GE72 Apache, GE62 Apache, GP72 Leopard, GP62 Leopard, and the newly announced PX60 Prestige. Thanks to the new CPU's, users should expect an increase in processing, multi-tasking and gaming performance, as well as battery life.

MSI’s flagship model, the GT72 Dominator, has additionally received NVIDIA’s G-Sync display that synchronizes refresh rates to the GPU to eliminate screen tearing and minimize display shutter and input lag. On top of that, the Dominator has been equipped with USB 3.1 connectivity, allowing for transfer rates up to twice as fast as the USB 3.0 standard.

In addition, MSI boasts that all its gaming laptops come with Nahimic Virtual Surround Sound technology, offering high-quality, virtual 7.1 sound. Another exclusive MSI technology, True Color, takes care of as accurate color reproduction as possible, by matching the sRGB color range.
