The MSI WindPad 110W brings with it AMD’s tablet-focused dual-core APU called Z-01

MSI’s new tablet, the MSI WindPad 110W is now available for pre-order at notebook.de for 559 euros ($796) for the 32GB non 3G model and a hundred euros ($939) more for the 3G model. The MSI WindPad 110W sports a 10.1” screen with 1280 x 800 pixels worth of resolution with an integrated mouse pointer, 32GB SSD, HD decoder (via the 6250M graphics,) 2GB of RAM and Windows 7 Home Premium. The 2-cell battery will only give an average life in one charge.

The MSI WindPad 110W has a few differentiations, the prime being the AMD APU working underneath. The Z-01 (codenamed Desna) is an x86 dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1GHz and 1MB of level II cache memory. It will be coupled with an AMD Radeon HD 6250 graphics chip.

MSI has not been in news of late, and we won’t be wrong in thinking the Taiwanese motherboard giant is struggling to get a fair share in the tablet market. Its Windpad tablets have failed to ignite much excitement till now, and the new MSI WindPad 110W will have its work cut out.
