The MSI Primo 81 is an excellent option for anyone looking for a small and light low-cost tablet to browse the web, access social networks, read emails, etc. It may not have the most powerful hardware, but the high-quality screen and sturdy all-aluminum construction gives it a terrific cost/benefit ratio.

MSI is a brand more associated with traditional PCs and laptops, but they are also in the tablet game. The MSI Primo 81's specification is nothing spectacular. Sporting an Allwinner A31s quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM, it will not blow anyone away with its specs sheet. This device will not be able to handle any graphically intense games and will also have trouble multitasking with multiple apps. It runs Android 4.2 Jellybean.
The screen is a little bit better compared to its internal hardware, boasting a 7.85-inch 1024 by 768 resolution IPS display; the same used in the iPad Mini. The viewing angles are great, as to be expected with IPS displays and colors are vibrant and items on the screen appear crisp and clear. Another downside to the Primo 81 are its cameras, sporting only a 2 MP main camera and a 640 by 480 resolution front camera.
The Primo 81 is thin, measuring only at 7.82 mm and is 330g light. So, even the smallest hands would not have trouble holding it. It also supports microSD-cards to expand its storage from the default 16 GB. This device is not for a power user but if you’re on a tight budget and just want a device to surf the web and your social media accounts, it might be worth considering because of its beautiful display.

This display format is in the mid-range for smartphones. It offers a compromise between good visibility, details and resolution on the screen, and you can still fit it into trouser pockets.
