As the title of this review playfully suggests, the MSI PE60 Prestige offers a distinct advantage among competing 15-inch gaming laptops because it doesn’t look like a typical gaming laptop with over-the-top design elements. In fact, the PE60 looks like a relatively boring silver-and-black business notebook until you get close enough to notice it has a high-quality screen and packs a gamer-friendly Nvidia GeForce graphics card. This split personality makes the MSI PE60 Prestige an obvious choice for students who want to get an entry-level gaming laptop but have to satisfy parents who insist that the main purpose of a PC is for doing school work.

While billed as an elite notebook that can handle work and play, the $1,119 MSI PE60 Prestige falls a bit short of its namesake. The notebook has a colorful display and enough CPU and graphics muscle for productivity and gaming, as well as speakers that are loud enough to illuminate your jam sessions and game marathons.

Elvis. Great voice, appealing performance and best entertainment value. The Prestige series aims to impress consumers and business users alike with its luxury features. Will it manage to do that with the standard tools? The manufacturer has eliminated the classic MSI vulnerable "keyboard", a wise decision that makes us happy.

MSI PE60 2QE-051NL
Compared to its gaming series counterparts the MSI PE60 2QE-051NL looks tamer. It aims at those looking for performance in a more elegant package. The lid comes in beautiful silver brushed metal finish and this color scheme is carried over inside. The full-sized tile-style keyboard is comfortable for extended typing and productivity. The 15.6 inch anti-glare display features FHD resolution. Colors and brightness are even good even in bright outdoor conditions. The Windows 10 system comes with an Intel Core i7-5700HQ processor, up to 16 GB RAM, an Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M GPU and a combination of up to 256 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD. Audio quality is not just an afterthought. The MSI PE60 2QE-051NL comes with an audio setup consisting of four speakers and a subwoofer, which delivers impressive clarity and loudness. Other features include a HD webcam, Bluetooth 4.0, an HDMI out, a Mini-DisplayPort, a card reader, a USB 2.0 port and three USB 3.0 ports. The MSI weighs 2.3 kg, which is quite low for its performance, and comes with a 6 cell battery.Specifications

Well, I’ll keep it short. The MSI PE60 6QE is a nice gaming laptop under $1000, but it’s hard to justify the price, unless you really need the extra year of warranty or global warranty. The PE60 6QE has good qualities and feature set, with good set of connection ports and storage options.

Part multimedia, gaming, and business. The PE60 6QE is a small update over last year's PE60 2QE based on the GE62 chassis. Unfortunately, MSI will have to do more to distinguish its Prestige series from the rest of its gaming lineup.

With its silver, professional stylings, the MSI PE60 Prestige might not look like a powerful gaming or multimedia laptop, but that's its most obvious use. The combination of an Intel Core i7 CPU and Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 graphics is more than enough to play most games, albeit not at their highest settings.

MSI: Micro-Star International (MSI) was founded in 1986 in Taiwan. MSI is especially known as a manufacturer of motherboards and graphics cards for PCs, but also offers computer accessories, complete systems, motherboards, graphics cards, laptops, desktop PCs, monitors and other components. However, the Microstar brand name in Germany belongs to the Medion company. MSI is known for its gaming products and has developed a wide range of gaming laptops and desktop PCs. The company is also active in workstations, servers and industrial automation. MSI has offices in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M: Upper mid-range graphics card of the GeForce GTX 900M series.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 950M: Mid-range graphics card of the GeForce GTX 900M series, based on the Maxwell architecture.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile: Mainstream graphics card based on Nvidia's Pascal architecture and successor to the GeForce GTX 960M. Is manufactured in a 14nm process at Samsung and the technical specifications are very similar to the desktop version.

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
4720HQ: Haswell-based quad-core processor clocked at 2.6 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.6 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4600 GPU and a dual channel DDR3 memory controller.
5700HQ: Broadwell-based quad-core processor for notebooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 5600 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
6700HQ: Skylake-based quad-core processor for notebooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 530 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.
Intel Core i5:
4210H: Haswell-based dual-core processor clocked at 2.9 GHz with Turbo Boost support up to 3.5 GHz. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 4600 GPU and a dual-channel DDR3 memory controller. Very high TDP (47 W).
Intel Kaby Lake:
i7-7700HQ: Quad-core notebook processor based on the Kaby Lake architecture. Besides four CPU cores (including Hyper Threading), the chips also integrates the HD Graphics 630 GPU and is manufactured in an improved 14 nm process.

73.88%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
