It might be one of the reasons for most of the probable customers are waiting for Microsoft Office application to run of the tablets.

However, a new rumor says that MS Office tablet application is about to come for iPads and Android tablets. It is being expected that this new software might get launched by November this year as reported by BGR (Boy Genius Reports).

Microsoft has commented on the report as so far they heard nothing about the MS Office version for the Windows 8. It has also been rumored that it would have a touch mode to accommodate tablets but they feel it is apparently not true for tablet friendly Metro-style applications. And they believe that it would be somewhat embarrassing for Microsoft if there will be an application for iPad and Android but not Windows 8, and that even if it get released at the same time they are planning for the newest operating system.

Although there are a number of alternative for the Office in their tablets which includes QuickOffice, Documents To Go, Google Docs for Android and Apple’s iWork suit for the iPads. Apart from all these a recent update also says that it can be also used from any tablet with the help of OnLive the live gaming website.
