Lenovo prematurely posts IdeaPad K1 video walkthrough

Teaser
Although the official video has since been removed, its existence could indicate the launch of the K1 tablet sooner rather than later

While an official press release regarding the upcoming IdeaPad K1 tablet has yet to be released, there are already plenty of rumors on its launch and price that pretty much confirm the tablet’s release in the U.S. sometime this year. Now, Lenovo has unexpectedly let slip its official video walkthrough of the tablet, although it has since been taken offline. The official online user guide for the K1 tablet, however, is still available for viewing as of this writing.

According to Electronista, the video highlighted the K1 tablet with topics such as “Getting to know your tablet”, “Using your tablet”, “Lucky Launcher Widget” and the “Lenovo App Shop”. With such essential basics, we wouldn’t be surprised if Lenovo decided to repost the video at some point in the future.

The 10.1-inch K1 tablet will come with a 1280x800 resolution screen, a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 APU, 1GB RAM, microSD reader, micro HDMI and a proprietary connection for specialized keyboards and other peripherals. The unit is expected to ship with Android Honeycomb and a heavily customized UI for a unique Lenovo experience.

The Lenovo tablet has been shown on retailers such as Amazon and Office Depot for $499. A late July to early August release is looking more and more likely.
