Lenovo set to make a mark in the ThinkPad line with new business oriented laptops.

Lenovo is thinking of taking their business of ThinkPad to another level with the introduction of Windows 8 hybrid laptops that are similar to the convertible, flippable Ideapad Yoga.

Lenovo recently lined up a convertible model of the ThinkPad X220. But this new edition of ThinkPad will flip back on its hinge instead of typical tablet PCs where the screen swivel and folds. It is expected that hybrid Windows 8 laptops are set to flood the market this year. So this unusual and comfortable design might help them to stand out of the crowd. The flip back model is touch friendly and will help the users in using the touchscreens in different positions.

As informed by Peter Hortensius, president of Lenovo’s product group to the WSJ’s CIO that this ThinkPad is set to be released next year.

This ThinkPads are basically business oriented laptops and likewise will have many enterprise friendly features such as TPM security chips for data protection and additional expansion and connectivity options.

According to Hortensius the ThinkPad will be a boost for any company’s IT Department. It is also said that it will also find use with Windows based corporate applications that comes up with custom pre-loaded software suites.

This ThinkPad will also reduce luggage for the road warriors as they don’t have to carry both laptop and a tablet around.
