Lenovo Vibe S1 to be the first handset with dual front camera
The Lenovo Vibe S1 smartphone was supposed to be officially unveiled back in March at MWC 2015. However, the company decided to delay the launch for unknown reasons. Now, news about Vibe S1 surface again, due to the Chinese trade authority having certified it for sale on the local market.
There’s one brand new bit of information though. It seems that Lenovo’s new handset will be the first smartphone in the world to feature a dual front-facing camera, which would allow taking photos with a bokeh effect. Now, a dual camera has been already used before in HTC handsets, but there are no phones on the market so far to use this solution for the selfie shooter. The camera’s resolution will allegedly be 8 MP.
Apart from the dual front camera, the Lenovo Vibe S1 will feature a 13 MP rear shooter with LED flash, a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage space (partially taken up by the OS), expandable via microSD slot. The smartphone will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor.
There is no launch date or pricing information available yet.
