Lenovo ThinkPad L460-20FVS01400
The Lenovo Thinkpad L460-20FVS01400 is a business laptop in the medium price range with some good features. It brings enough performance for everyday needs. Its build quality is good apart from some incompletely deburred edges and slight, yet palpable protrusions. This laptop comes without an operating system, but it is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10. It comes with a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i7-6500U processor and an AMD Radeon R5 M300 graphics card and allows a storage capacity of up to 256 GB with an easily replaceable SSD. Thanks to an additional M.2 slot, the user can add another SSD. The L460 features 8 GB of single channel DDR3-1600 RAM in two RAM slots. Its 14-inch screen has a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 with good contrast, yet weak brightness. The well-built keyboard without backlight is designed for prolific writing. Instead of a DVD Burner, the laptop comes with a memory card reader of 82.4 MB/s. Other features include three USB 3.0 ports, a VGA port, a Displayport, a Kensington Lock and audio connections. The laptop weighs about 1.93 kg and achieves a battery life of up to 7 hours and 5 minutes in the WiFi test.Specifications

Longer lasting. Lenovo's ThinkPad L460 does not offer many new features. The Skylake processors provide a bit more computing power, and the L440 clearly has a longer battery life. Unfortunately, Lenovo does not install a docking port in the L460 models furnished with AMD graphics cards.

The ThinkPad L460 sticks to the basic ThinkPad script, and the outcome is a fabulous budget productivity machine. Spring for the extended-cell battery and you’ll be able to enjoy it for nearly two workdays on a single charge.

Thanks to its durable chassis, sharp screen, excellent typing experience and long battery life, the ThinkPad L460 is a great choice for small companies or productivity-centric users on a budget. Its best-in-class keyboard alone makes the L460 worth the price of admission. If you can afford to spend about $120 more, we prefer the ThinkPad T460 for its classier design, lighter chassis and longer battery life.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" from English legend, novo (Latin) for new) was founded in 1984 as a Chinese computer trading company. As of 2004, the company was the largest laptop manufacturer in China and, after acquiring IBM's PC division in 2005, the fourth largest in the world. In addition to desktops and notebooks, the company manufactures monitors, projectors, servers, etc, and specializes in developing, manufacturing and marketing consumer electronics, personal computers, software, enterprise solutions and related services.
In 2016, the company ranked first in the world in computer sales. It still held it in 2023 with about 23% global market share. Important product lines are Thinkpad, Legion and Ideapad.
In 2011, it acquired a majority stake in Medion AG, a European computer hardware manufacturer. In 2014, Motorola Mobility was purchased, which gave Lenovo a boost in the smartphone market.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
AMD Radeon R5 M330: Entry level dedicated graphics card based on a 28nm GCN 2.0 / 1.2 chip supporting DirectX 12, Vulkan and FreeSync.
Intel HD Graphics 520: Integrated GPU (GT2) with 24 EUs found on some Skylake CPU models (15 W ULV series).

Intel Core i7: The Intel Core i7 for laptops is based on the LG1156 Core i5/i7 CPU for desktops. The base clock speed of the CPUs is relatively low, but because of a huge Turbo mode, the cores can dynamically overclock to up to 3.2 GHz (920XM). Therefore, the CPU can be as fast as high clocked dual-core CPUs (using single threaded applications) but still offer the advantage of 4 cores. Because of the large TDP of 45 W / 55 W, the CPU is only intended for large laptops.
6500U: Skylake-based ULV dual-core processor for thin notebooks and ultrabooks. Offers an integrated HD Graphics 520 GPU and is manufactured in 14 nm.

14.00:
14 inch display size represents a middle ground between the small subnotebook formats and the screens of the standard 15 inch laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, provides good resolutions with usable detail sizes, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact.
In the past, 14-inch devices were very rare, but now they are the standard for laptops after the 15-inchers.
