Lenovo IdeaPad Y560p, Y460p Laptops coming soon

The new IdeaPads are scheduled to arrive next month packed in with a lot of entertainment features

We now have some official news from Lenovo about their two upcoming IdeaPad laptops, supposedly amongst the first ones to be sold fitted with the Intel Core “Sandy Bridge” processors. The IdeaPad Y560p and Y460p entertainment laptops will also come with new storage features says Lenovo.

The high-performance 16:9 widescreen, 15.6-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Y560p and 14-inch IdeaPad Y460p laptops will be available with options of powering them with up to Core i7 “Sandy Bridge” processors. You also get under the hood storage options of up to 750 GB HDD and up to 8GB DDR3 1333 memory. Talking of Lenovo’s “new storage features”, the RapidDrive feature combines 32GB SSD and HDD capacity to speed up system performance. For those seeking high quality of entertainment there are JBL speakers and a Dolby Home Theater audio system. Other notable features include OneKey Rescue and Lenovo’s VeriFace face recognition.  For prospective buyers- there are two color options, namely metallic grey and white.

From the images posted on the Lenovo website, the new Y series laptops look classy with their metallic exteriors and a plain, but smooth design. The IdeaPad Y560p and Y460p laptops are slated to go on sale starting from January 11, 2011 as announced by Lenovo and at a starting price of $849.
