Leaked datasheet reveals Samsung Galaxy A8 specifications
Rumors on the impending Galaxy A8 (SM-A800F) began as early as April where the phablet was expected to have a 5.7-inch 720p AMOLED display. By mid-June, additional speculations seemingly confirmed the rumors. Now, a new leak details even more specifications of the device.
This time, the Galaxy A8 will carry the model name SM-A800S and will make use of a 5.7-inch 1080p AMOLED display, up from the previous 720p rumors. An 8-core Snapdragon 615 SoC (4x Cortex-A53 at 1.7 GHz + 4x Cortex-A53 at 1.0 GHz) will power the phablet alongside the Adreno 405 GPU.
Other core specifications include Android 5.1, 2 GB RAM, 3050 mAh battery, and 16 GB eMMC with MicroSD support up to 128 GB. The rear and front cameras will be 16 MP and 5 MP, respectively. In terms of weight and dimensions, the Galaxy A8 is expected to be 140 grams and measure 158 x 76.77 x 5.94 mm.
